1. Purpose of the Operation Policy
i. This operation policy for Deco Online ("Operation Policy") was made in order to resolve inconveniences
and problems that disrupt the smooth operation of the game in a helpful, fair, and standardized manner.
WHILE THIS POLICY IS PART OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, NOTHING SET FORTH FROM THIS POINT FORWARD IS
A LIMITATION OF THE RIGHTS OF Shadow Entertainment TO TAKE ANY ACTION, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, WHICH IT WOULD HAVE THE
RIGHT TO TAKE IN THE ABSENCE OF THIS OPERATION POLICY. THAT IS, THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED TO ASSIST
USERS IN UNDERSTANDING THE LIKELY CONSEQUENCES OF CERTAIN BEHAVIOR, BUT IT DOES NOT LIMIT THE RIGHTS OF Shadow Entertainment.
ii. All GM's/CS are familiar with the Operation Policy and thus all services and actions of the Deco Online operations
team (the "Operations Team") are administered according to the Operation Policy. Also, any details not covered in this
Operation Policy may be resolved in accordance with common rules and regulations.
iii. The Operation Policy is subject to addition/revision/and deletion by the Operations Team. In the case of any changes to
the Operation Policy, notice of such changes will be posted in advance on the homepage by the Operations Team.
iv. If a user violates any part of this Operation Policy, he/she may receive a warning and/or penalty according to this
Operation Policy. If the violation is found to have or likely to have serious effects , the user may immediately be restricted
or blocked from using his/her account and/or have his/her use of the said account terminated.
v. All official correspondences of Deco Online will only be conveyed through homepage notices, announcements that appear at
the start of the game as well as in the launcher, in-game announcements by GM's, and through the customer support center.
All other communications will not be recognized as official.
vi. Shadow Entertainment Co., Ltd. ("Company") and the Operations Team will not be held responsible for any damages or problems arising from a
failure on the user's part to familiarize themselves with notices and announcements made by Deco Online.
2. Account and Character Name Policy
i. The Operations Team will not disclose user information to other users. Only when there is a request from a government and/or law enforcement agency in accordance with the procedures prescribed by relevant laws, will there be any such disclosure.
ii. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their own accounts and all relevant responsibilities attached to their accounts.
iii. The Company and Operations Team cannot resolve or assist with any problem with accounts and/or character management that arises from user’s carelessness. These responsibilities also belong to the user.
i. Problems that arise from transfer of user accounts and characters.
ii. Problems that arise from negligent management of user's own password.
iv. There is a 7 day waiting period in order for a character to be deleted, and the character is properly deleted after this 7 day period. Characters and items deleted properly will not be restored.
v. Users can choose their character names freely. However, character names may be corrected/modified/deleted for the following reasons.
i. Names that are found to be offensive and/or abusive to others
ii. Names that impersonate or give the impression of official company representatives, GM's, and other Company’s employees
iii. Names that resemble or may cause confusion with GM names already in existence.
iv. Lewd or discriminatory character names
v. Character names that advocate antisocial or illegal actions
vi. Racist or sexist character names
vii. Character names that persecute a specific individual or are libelous towards them.
viii. Character names that infringe or may violate third party trademarks, copyrights
ix. Character names that approximate to or resemble vulgar and/or offensive words.
3. Dispute between Users
i. In cases users do not violate any rules or regulations, the Operations Team will not intervene disputes between users.
4. Policy against Account Theft (Hacking)
i. Account theft/hacking is defined as illegal appropriation or destruction of computerizes data sent or received.
The hacking/account theft usually occurs by negligent management by the user of his own account information.
ii. The Operations Team will not offer services regarding account theft/hacking for the time being for the purpose
of providing better service in the future.
5. Policy against System Abuse
i. If a user is found to be abusing a bug or system glitch, the user may have his account restricted or deleted.
Listed below are similar instances in which similar action may be taken.
i. If a user is found to be inducing or encouraging particular behavior with the intent of placing undue stress on the systems.
ii. If a user discovers a bug and, instead of reporting it directly to a GM or Customer Support, tells it to other users or
utilizes the bug to obtain benefits in the game which the user knew, or should have known, were not intended to be provided.
iii. If a user gets a profit directly or indirectly from exploitation of a bug.
ii. Users found to be using or distributing illegal programs may be subject to restrictions of their account or have their account deleted.
In particular cases, the user may be subject to investigation by the proper authorities.
6. Policy against Breach or Nuisance
i. Breach or Nuisance means the act or the omission of act breaching the specified rules in the Operation Policy or analogous thereto which prevents
other users from normal and fair use of the game or commit a nuisance to specified or unspecified other users.
ii. Penalties are strictly applied thereto pursuant to the standard set forth in this Policy.
iii. Penalties including the period comprised time, date or etc therein shall be expired with lapse of the period, provided however that the deleted
or suspended ID pursuant to the Operation Policy does not include such period in any case.
iv. In case similar or different type of breach(es) or nuisance(s) exists, penalties could be cumulative pursuant to each rules in the standard.
v. Penalties could be applied to user in accordance with the gravity of the breach or nuisance without relevant notice even though
it comes to the exception clause.
vi. If a filing is made regarding other users breach or nuisance, Operations Team will review and make penalties in accordance with the
Operation Policy under the condition that such filing is followed by objective evidence.
vii. Notwithstanding the specified provisions regarding the substance of the sanction, the details of the penalties could be different in
accordance with the details or the degree of the breach or nuisance provided however that such difference could happen solely for the purpose
of smooth or fair game operation and not other purposes in any event.
viii. The penalties not specified this section regarding the breach or nuisance shall be fairly and strictly decided and executed pursuant to
the Operation Policy and other related regulations equivalent thereto.
7. Homepage Policy
i. Users agree not to use the service provided by the Company to:
i. upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit content that infringes any third party rights;
ii. impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, GM and any employee of the Company;
iii. upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit content that violates any law or regulation;
iv. upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit content as determined by Operations Team at its sole discretion that is harmful, threatening, abusive,
harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
or contains any viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or other computer programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally
interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information;
v. upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary
relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under
vi. upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters,"
"pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation;
vii. interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations
of networks connected to the Service; or
viii. "stalk" or otherwise harass another member. The Company or Operations Team can delete messages posted on the forums without any notice if they seem in
its sole discretion as breach the home page policy mentioned in this article, and you may also receive penalties set forth in chapter 8 of this Operation
ii. Posted messages encompass both posts made on the forum as well as any comments or annotations to the posts.
i. If any user breaches terms of this Operations Policy may be subject to penalties according to the following standard:
ii. You understand that the Company may permanently terminate your Account if a charge which you authorize the Company to
make on your payment cannot be processed or is returned to the Company unpaid for any reason whatsoever. The Company shall
not be held responsible or liable for any credit card or bank-related charges or fees related to any of your transactions.
1. Goal of Operation Policy
I. The aim of this operation policy is to regulate conditions members need to abide by for provision of services, protection of member usage rights and smooth
game playing based on fairness of problems that can arise when members use Deco Online (hereinafter referred to as the "game") provided by Shadow Entertainment Co., Ltd
(hereinafter referred to as the "company").
ii. All conditions that are not mentioned in this operation policy shall be handled based on the usage terms, related laws, and general sentiments and common
sense shared by the members and company, or evaluations or judgments shall be made based on application of similar standards.
iii. It is recommended that members thoroughly read the operation policy as it includes information about points of caution when using the service.
2. Application and Notification of Operation Policy
i. All services provided to members within the game are based on this policy, and the policy is limited to the game.
ii. The company may revise, change and delete the operation policy for effective operation, and in case a revision is made the date of application shall be
notified 7 days before the date, and in case revisions are made to contents that could put members at a disadvantage or important contents, a pre-notification
shall be made at least 30 days before the date or notifications shall be made through e-mail.
iii. The company shall not be held responsible for any disadvantages suffered by members for failing to read and understand this operation policy and revisions.
3. Duties and Rights of Members
i. Members must abide by the operation policy to receive quality services, and may demand fair rights based on the policy.
ii. Members may make suggestions about systems or contents of the game, report bugs and make inquiries about game services in general through the customer center(e-mail).
iii. Members must install a PC hacking prevention program, vaccine program or operation system security patch, or regularly change their password or make similar
efforts to protect their personal information.
iv. In case members discover a weakness of the game (bug, account theft, illegal program), they must report it through the customer center.
v. In case there is a problem with the operation policy, members may register an objection to the company at any time and receive help according to the result of treatment.
4. Role and Duties of the GM
i. The GM (game master or operator) understands the operation policy and conducts his or her role to provide an optimal environment for stable and enjoyable playing
of the game service by members.
ii. The GM receives reports of all forms of bugs that can occur.
iii. The GM may restrict members who have violated the operation policy based on the operation policy.
iv. The GM shall not be involved in disputes between members. However, restrictions may be set such as limited use of forced game ending when necessary for
v. The GM replies to customer inquiries and requests as fast as possible in the most polite manner. However, replies may be limited regarding information that
cannot be revealed because of the game plan.
vi. The GM does not ask for personal information of members such as ID (account) or password, and does not randomly revise or leak personal information.
However, in case a judicial organization makes an official request for cooperation, the formal process of providing information may be conducted.
vii. In case a situation not mentioned above arises and the GM considers it necessary for smooth game operation, the GM may take appropriate measures according
to the regulations of the game shared by the GM and game users.
5. Character's Name and Guild Name Policy
i. The game user may freely select their character's name or guild name, but in case of one of the following cases, the company may take measures such as restraints
i. according to the standard of this operation policy, or the GM may change or delete the character's name or guild name without prior notification.
In case the name slanders the company, employees of the company or company services.
ii. In case the name claims to be the company or GM, or it is judged that there is intent to pretend to be the company or GM.
iii. In case it contains swear words or vulgar slang.
iv. Provocative or obscene words.
v. Anti-social words or words that come in conflict with related laws
vi. In case the name violates the trademark rights, copyrights or intellectual rights of the company or a third party.
vii. In case the judgment is made that there is intent to trade items or accounts or trade items or accounts for cash.
viii. In case the name advertises or promotes a certain subject.
ix. In case the name is one of the above with an intentional error in spelling or one of the above combined with different letters in front of and behind the words.
x In case the name is some other form of a word that is judged socially unacceptable.
ii. Please report to the customer center if you discover a character's name that violates this policy. Even if it is not a name included in the list above, any
name that makes another customer feel uncomfortable or unpleasant may be subject to measures according to the game related naming policy.
6. Account Theft/Hacking Related Policy
i. Account theft is when a member logs in to a game with someone else's character and uses elements of the account without permission or causes damages in any way.
ii. According to the ‘Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and information Protection, etc.’ hacking refers to illegal entrance
to another person's computer system and taking away or destroying data.
iii. The operation team may temporarily not provide account theft/hacking related services for better service in the future. However, an appropriate process and
rational measures are provided for account theft/hacking that arises due to a system error.
7. Restraint of Offensive Actions
Offensive actions refers to actions that violate the conditions of this policy, and include interrupting normal game procedure, or posting of offensive contents etc.
causing damage or discomfort for other members.
Board post writing prohibition refers to a measure of deleting posts or restricting writing privileges.
Account seizure refers to the measure of prohibiting use of all Deco Online services (game and boards).
Abusing refers to actions of acquiring game information through unfair methods.

8. Policy on Website Usage
i. The company may temporarily stop services for regular check-ups or to improve service quality. The company shall notify members of the reason and period before stopping services except for circumstances when pre-notification is not possible.
ii. Posts refer to all posts on all boards and all information related to the posts.
iii. Members must write posts considering the characteristics of boards, abide by related laws, and not violate the rights of others.
iv. In case the accumulated volume of posts has a possibility of interrupting smooth service or cause inconvenience of discomfort, the company may regularly or irregularly delete past posts.
v. The GM may delete posts on boards without notifying the writer in case posts on various boards are considered offensive actions, and the writer may be subject to restraints according to this policy.
vi. A board can be newly created or closed according to needs of game operation, and in case a board is closed the existing posts may be moved to another board or deleted after prior notification.
vii. Use of website service including the boards may be limited depending on the purpose of a board and restrictions.
